Rombout Oomen lives and works in Amsterdam and has two children. He attended the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, The Hague from 1996- 2000, and graduated  in fine arts. He lived in Berlin, Helsinki, San Francisco, Leipzig and Saint Petersburg for work and artist in residence programmes. 

Oomen is specialized in painting and drawing, but also designs furniture, objects and curates art shows in the cultural hotspot NDSM-Wharf Amsterdam.
